Coinstar Costs a Pretty Penny Reprise -Correction
I checked the cash flow statements from several sources. Most had some discrepancies. The conclusion: Don't put too high a reliance on the accuracy of some commonly used data sources. Verify it directly from the financial statements. I apologize for the error.
Here are the cash flow figures (in $millions) for CSTR over the last five years based on continuing operations:
Year...Net Income.......CFFO.......Capex..........FCF
2005...22,272..............103,123......43,905....................59,218
2004...20,368...............60,599.......42,784....................17,815
2003...19,555...............53,502.......24,891....................28,611
2002...58,513...............50,677........22,375...................28,302
2001...(7,386)..............45,373.......18,502....................26,871
I apologize for the confusion. Thank you Asif for alerting me!

Thanks Rick. I am glad to see that we have arrived at the same numbers. I was shocked to see the original numbers as they literally shook the foundation of my Coinstar theory. I am happy to be on stable ground now. :)
